Who Wins

  • You win most early trades through superior base stats and Q poke, with level 2 being particularly strong when you can Q-auto for passive stacks.
  • Post-6 you lose all-ins if he has R available, but can still win if you land W devour before he can cast it.

How to Trade

  • You want to poke with Q when he goes for CS, then look for extended trades when you have 2-3 passive stacks to maximize your damage output.
  • Use W defensively to negate his burst combos rather than offensively, since missing it leaves you extremely vulnerable.

Wave Control

  • You should maintain a slow push or freeze near your side to limit his E mobility while staying safe from ganks.
  • Avoid hard shoving since you have no escape tools and Yasuo players will look to set up ganks when the wave bounces back.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • You cannot waste your W devour on minions or use it predictably, as good Yasuo players will bait it out then all-in you during the cooldown.
