Who Wins
- You lose pre-6 due to Xerath's superior range and poke pressure combined with Nilah's mobility, but post-6 your W devour creates strong all-in potential with Vayne's R.
- The enemy duo controls the lane tempo early but you scale into better pick potential.
Synergy & Trading
- Land Q slow first, then walk up for W devour while Vayne follows with damage and potential E condemn.
- Focus on punishing Nilah when she Q's forward aggressively, as she'll be in your engage range without escape options.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Roam when the wave is pushing toward enemies and Vayne can safely farm under tower, typically after successful recalls or when enemies back.
- Look for mid lane roams around level 6-7 when your W devour can secure kills with your jungler.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste W devour defensively unless it's a guaranteed save, as losing your primary engage tool leaves Vayne vulnerable for 20+ seconds.
- Avoid walking up for poke trades without Q landed first, as Xerath will chunk you heavily while you retreat.
