Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and poke with Q, as Zed lacks gap closers and must walk up for CS.
- Post-6 becomes Zed-favored once he gets R, as he can all-in you through your E knockback if he plays the engage correctly.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading is Q poke when he goes for CS, then E-Q combo when he tries to trade back with W-E-Q.
- Always position to have minions between you and his Q poke, and use your range advantage to chunk him before he can respond.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to establish range control and deny his CS, but transition to freezing near your tower once he hits 6.
- This forces him to overextend for farm while keeping you safe from his R all-in potential.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use E defensively as your only escape tool - save it to interrupt his W-E combo or R engage.
- Getting caught without E against Zed post-6 is almost always death, regardless of your health total.
