Who Wins
- You win levels 1-3 with Q poke and auto attacks since Galio's early damage is limited and his mana costs are high.
- At level 6, you lose the all-in potential as his ultimate provides massive engage and his magic resist scaling makes him tanky against your burst.
How to Trade
- You should poke with Q from max range and immediately back away to avoid his taunt combo.
- Never try to trade when he has taunt available as his full rotation will out-damage you significantly.
Wave Control
- You want to push early waves to get level advantages and roam timings before he becomes too tanky.
- After level 6, maintain slow pushes to avoid his roam potential with ultimate while keeping the wave in positions where you can't be easily engaged upon.
Mistakes to Avoid
- You must never use your stun aggressively when his taunt is available as he will win the extended trade.
- Don't stay in lane with low health after level 6 as his flash-taunt-ultimate combo can easily kill you even under tower.
