Pre-6, Jhin+Leona wins most extended trades because Leona's engage chain combined with Jhin's W root creates a lockdown window that your Q healing cannot outpace; you win short poke exchanges only if Leona is out of range and Jhin is isolated.
Post-6, your R gives your team a global safety net, but Leona's R into Jhin's W still threatens to burst you before your healing matters, so the 2v2 remains dangerous for you.

Your best pattern is to Q Jhin repeatedly from max range to stack his Grit passive against him and keep him low, then E yourself or Caitlyn the moment Leona steps forward to deny her engage window.
Never commit to a full trade; your value is sustained attrition through Q poke and W silence to interrupt Leona's E or R mid-engage.
