Who Wins
- Jhin + Maokai wins pre-6 due to Maokai's E bush control and Jhin's superior range/damage output against your fragile early game.
- Post-6 they still win through Maokai's R engage potential combined with Jhin's W root follow-up.
Synergy & Trading
- Poke with Q + auto when Maokai uses E on minions or mispositions, then immediately W for the shield and movement speed to disengage.
- Never extend trades as Jhin's fourth shot and Maokai's Q knockup will punish overcommitment.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push waves quickly with Q spam to deny Maokai bush control and create roam timings.
- Avoid slow pushing as it gives Maokai free E placements and Jhin easy Q bounces.
