LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you are at a disadvantage in any extended trade — Yorick's Q sustain and Ghoul generation mean that standing and fighting him is a losing proposition, and your damage is too low early to burst through his healing before Ghouls overwhelm you.
- Post-6, the matchup becomes significantly harder as his R creates a persistent threat you cannot duel; your win condition shifts entirely to surviving, stacking your passive, and outscaling rather than winning lane.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is short trades using E to reposition and Q to poke from range — harass him when he walks up to last-hit, then immediately back off before his Ghouls can engage.
- Never commit to a full trade unless he has no Ghouls up and your passive stacks are high enough that your Q splash deals meaningful damage, otherwise you will lose the exchange.
Wave Control
- Prioritize a slow push to build a large wave and crash it under his tower — this forces Yorick to either take tower damage or lose CS, and it limits his ability to set up a freeze or walk at you aggressively.
- Focus on stacking your passive as efficiently as possible through every wave, as your mid-to-late power spike is entirely dependent on reaching meaningful stack thresholds.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand still to trade when his Ghouls are present — the combined auto-attack damage from Ghouls plus his Q healing creates a sustain loop that you cannot out-damage at standard stack counts.
- Avoid using E aggressively to close distance on him, as it removes your only repositioning tool and leaves you vulnerable to his full Ghoul-empowered combo with no escape.
