Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Leona lose the extended poke war — Zyra's plant pressure combined with Quinn's blind makes trading into them costly, and your W spell shield helps but doesn't solve the sustained zone control Zyra creates.
  • Post-6, the matchup becomes more even because Leona's R into your R gives you a strong all-in window, and your R's movement speed lets you run down Quinn if she tries to disengage.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to use W to block Zyra's Q or E when you see them cast, then immediately look for a short trade with Leona's follow-up — spell shield removes one of Zyra's key damage tools and shifts the trade math.
  • Avoid extended fights in Zyra's plant field; take short burst trades with Leona's CC and back out before plants stack up.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You want to let the wave build toward you or freeze near your tower to deny Quinn's roam potential and force Zyra to overextend for plants — a large wave near your tower is dangerous for Quinn who has no reliable escape.
  • Avoid hard-pushing into their zone early; Zyra's plants on a pushed wave near their tower is where she is strongest.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not waste your W on Zyra's W plant placement — the plant itself is not a spell, and you need your shield available for her Q root or E knockback during actual trades.
  • Misusing spell shield on non-threatening abilities is the single biggest mechanical mistake in this matchup.
