Who Wins
- You lose early trades levels 1-3 as Malphite's Q poke and shield make short trades heavily favor him.
- At level 6, you have kill pressure with your ultimate engage if Malphite mispositions, but he can still disengage with his ultimate.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to charge Q from fog of war or bushes to guarantee the knockup, then follow with W shield and E slow.
- Avoid extended trades where Malphite can proc his passive shield multiple times and kite you with Q slows.
Wave Control
- Push waves early to deny Malphite farm and force him to use mana on waveclear rather than poke.
- After level 6, maintain slow pushes to set up roam opportunities with your ultimate since you can't reliably kill Malphite in lane.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to trade when Malphite's passive is up as his shield negates most of your damage.
- Avoid charging Q in the open where he can easily walk away, and don't waste your ultimate on him unless you have jungle assistance or he's critically low.
