Who Wins
- You lose levels 1-3 as your abilities are telegraphed and Gwen can easily dodge your Q while trading back effectively.
- At level 6, you still lose the 1v1 but gain better setup potential for your jungler with your ultimate's engage range.
How to Trade
- You should focus on short poke trades with E-W combos when Gwen goes for CS, then immediately back off to avoid extended trades.
- Your best trading windows are when Gwen wastes her W aggressively or when you can land a charged Q in minion waves.
Wave Control
- You want to hard push waves and look for roam opportunities or back timings, as you cannot match Gwen's split push potential later in the game.
- Focus on building up minion waves to make your Q more threatening and harder for her to dodge.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to match Gwen's split push in side lanes during mid-late game as she will always win the 1v1.
- Avoid using your Q predictably when she has W available, as she can easily negate your primary trading tool and punish you afterward.
