Who Wins
- You lose early trades pre-6 as Ambessa's Q mobility and W shield let her engage favorably while avoiding your poison trail damage.
- Post-6 you can start winning all-ins with R if you land W root, as your sustained damage and movement speed become overwhelming for her.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to W root her during her Q dash animations when she's locked in movement, then R and run her down with Q poison while she's immobilized.
- Avoid short trades entirely - you need extended fights where your poison damage accumulates over time.
Wave Control
- Push waves constantly with Q to force Ambessa to last hit under tower where she struggles, then look for proxying between her tower and second tower.
- Your goal is to create map pressure and avoid the laning phase where she can repeatedly engage on you.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never try to match her early game aggression or fight in minion waves where she can use creeps for Q resets and energy management.
