Scuttle Contest
- At level 3 scuttle, you lose this fight against Nunu if he has Q available, as his sustain negates your damage output and his W slow prevents you from using E to reposition effectively; you should only contest scuttle if you have a significant health advantage from a faster clear or if he is already low.
- From level 6, you win 1v1s by using E to close distance rapidly, weaving auto-attacks with your empowered E to shred his health faster than his Q can sustain, and kiting around terrain to avoid his W snowball landing.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Nunu will likely start at the buff closest to scuttle, clear two or three camps, and immediately look to contest scuttle at level 3; he will then look to gank or counter-jungle your side after scuttle, using Q to sustain through any camps he steals.
- Expect him to be very aggressive around objectives and to track you constantly, as his entire kit is designed for skirmishing and disruption.
Invade or Not
- You should not invade Nunu early because his Q sustain makes him nearly unkillable in a prolonged fight at his own camps, and his W slow will prevent you from escaping cleanly if the fight goes wrong.
- Instead, focus on a fast full clear to stack your passive, secure your own scuttle when he is on the opposite side, and look to invade only after level 6 when your R gives you the burst and mobility to threaten him.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not attempt to fight Nunu near objectives or in tight jungle corridors where his W snowball is easy to land, as a successful W hit into Q sustain will almost certainly result in your death or a forced flash; always fight him in open areas where you can use E to sidestep his W and maintain distance to avoid his full combo.
