- You lose most direct trades pre-6 due to Riven's superior burst and mobility, but can go even through short W-empowered Q trades and grasp procs.
- Post-6, you still lose the 1v1 but gain map pressure through R, making the lane more about macro than fighting.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is landing E to guarantee Q placement, then using W immediately to block Riven's auto-attacks during her combo sequence.
- Follow up with empowered Q autos while she's in your W zone, then disengage before she can re-engage with her second rotation.
Wave Control
- You should focus on maintaining wave control through Q poke and look for opportunities to thin the wave safely rather than hard pushing.
- Keep the wave in the middle or slightly on your side to have room for E escapes while still being able to threaten Riven with ganks.
Mistakes to Avoid
