Who Wins

  • You lose early trades pre-6 due to Ahri's superior range and poke with Q, but can win extended trades if you land E and force her into melee range.
  • Post-6 you still struggle in pure 1v1s as her R gives her too much mobility to kite your engage attempts.

How to Trade

  • Look for short trades using E-Q-W combo when she wastes Q on minions, then immediately back off to avoid her charm follow-up.
  • Extended trades favor you only if you can stick to her, so use your W to block her Q return damage during all-ins.

Wave Control

  • Push early levels to get priority for river fights, then look to freeze near your tower once she gets levels and poke becomes oppressive.
  • Your goal is to create gank opportunities since you can't reliably solo kill her in lane.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't waste E trying to engage when her E is up, as getting charmed into her full combo will chunk you heavily.
  • Avoid trading when your W is down since her Q return damage will make any trade heavily favor her.
