LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win levels 1-2 decisively by placing W boxes in the lane bushes before minions arrive and baiting Irelia into walking into them, as the fear and your E blind completely shut down her Q-reset trading pattern before she has stacks.
- At level 3 and beyond she gains enough burst with stacked Q and E stun to kill you in a short window if she catches you without boxes, so you must respect her all-in and avoid fighting her in the open without a fear setup.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to place W boxes behind or beside Irelia before engaging, then use E to blind her and auto-attack from behind for backstab damage while she cannot effectively Q-reset through you due to the blind blocking her autos.
- If she tries to E stun you, W out immediately and let the boxes do the work while you reset the fight from a safe angle.
Wave Control
- You want to freeze or slow-push the wave near your side to force Irelia to walk up into box-trapped areas to farm, denying her the ability to freely Q-reset on minions to stack her passive.
- Avoid hard shoving because a pushed wave gives her a safe environment to stack and engage on you with full passive stacks and tower protection behind her.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use R reactively as just an escape tool when Irelia R's onto you, because the clone needs to be used proactively to create confusion before she commits her full combo — if she has already E-stunned you and is chaining Q resets, your R will not save you in time.
- Never fight her in the middle of a large minion wave where she can freely Q-reset and heal, as that environment completely negates your kiting-based trading style.
