Who Wins
- You win pre-6 trades through superior sustain and damage output, especially at level 2 when you get W for shield and true damage.
- Post-6 you still have the edge in extended fights, but must respect Malphite's R engage potential and armor scaling.
How to Trade
- Look for short trades with Q auto-reset into E pull, then immediately W when Malphite tries to trade back with Q.
- Your goal is to proc Conqueror stacks and use W's true damage while his Q slow wears off.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to establish priority, then look to freeze near your tower once Malphite gets armor items.
- You want to force him to walk up for CS where you can run him down with ghost or flash.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste W defensively against his Q poke alone - save it for when he commits to extended trades.
- Getting chunked by repeated Q harass without meaningful retaliation will lose you the lane despite your theoretical advantage.
