Who Wins
- You win levels 1-3 convincingly due to your superior base stats and passive regeneration, but Aatrox becomes significantly stronger at level 6 with his ultimate.
- His World Ender gives him sustain, damage, and revive potential that outscales your early game advantage.
How to Trade
- You should look for short trades using Q auto-reset into E pull when Aatrox uses his Q abilities on minions.
- Walk away immediately after landing your combo to avoid his Q sweet spots and don't extend trades when his passive is up.
Wave Control
- You want to freeze the wave near your tower early to force Aatrox into dangerous positions for CS.
- Push only when you have kill pressure or need to recall, as Aatrox struggles to break freezes without using mana on minions.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use W reactively against Aatrox's third Q knockup as good players will hold it until after your grit shield expires.
- Don't chase him through minion waves where he can easily land Q sweet spots on both you and minions for sustain.
