LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, your E shield and Q poke give this lane a slight edge in sustained poke trades because Nautilus cannot freely hook without eating your Q, and your shield absorbs his passive proc damage; however, a clean Nautilus hook at level 2 before your shield is up can result in a kill if Ashe follows.
- Post-6, Ashe R + Nautilus R outclasses your R in kill setup — your R is better used defensively to disengage or peel for Kog'Maw rather than as an engage tool.
Synergy & Trading
- Prioritize shielding Kog'Maw with E when Nautilus steps up to hook, not yourself — Kog is the damage source and losing him to a hook-kill is more costly than you taking a hook.
- Use Q to poke Ashe during her auto-attack animations and stack your passive for empowered Q waves that push and poke simultaneously.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should not roam — your value is entirely in keeping Kog'Maw alive and poking Ashe down, and leaving Kog alone against Nautilus's hook threat is a guaranteed death.
- Stay in lane, maintain wave pressure, and use your R defensively if Nautilus or Ashe engages.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use E reactively after Nautilus has already landed his hook — the shield needs to be pre-emptively placed on Kog'Maw before the hook lands to negate the burst window, as casting it after the CC chain starts is too slow to matter.
