Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you are the lane's stabilizer — your Q sustain partially offsets the poke from Seraphine and Lux, but you cannot out-trade them in extended exchanges and your soul collection is disrupted when you're forced to play defensively; post-6, Veigar's R gives you a kill threat that Seraphine + Lux must respect, but you still lose a straight 2v2 if Lux lands E.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to use your long-range Q to heal your ADC after Seraphine poke, then look for W root opportunities when they walk up to push the wave — a W root into Veigar E cage is a two-layer CC chain that can result in a kill even pre-6; avoid trading autos with Seraphine as her passive echo makes extended auto trades favorable for her.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam early — Veigar needs a babysitter to stack safely, and leaving him alone against Seraphine + Lux means he gets dove or zoned off stacks entirely; post-6 with a significant soul count, you can look to flank with your E invisibility on a side lane, but only when the wave is in a safe position for Veigar.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not over-commit to soul collection at the cost of positioning — Lux E is a long-range skillshot that punishes greedy forward steps, and getting bound while collecting a soul near the enemy is the most common way this lane loses a kill trade it should have survived.
