LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you lose the scuttle fight against Shaco because his E clone and Q invisibility let him disengage or burst you before your W stacks can proc Frost; without your R, you have no reliable way to lock him down when he can simply Q away.
- From level 6, you can win a 1v1 only if you land your Q to close the gap and immediately proc Frost with W before he can Q out, but this requires him to be caught in the open with no escape angle — if he has his Q available, he will dodge your engage and reset the fight on his terms.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Shaco almost always starts Red Buff side (typically Krugs or Red), then clears to Raptors and Wolves before looking for an early gank or invade around level 3; he prioritizes fast clear speed using his E boxes to accelerate camps and will frequently appear in a lane or at scuttle before you expect him.
Invade or Not
- You should generally avoid invading Shaco early because his E boxes placed in his own jungle act as wards and damage traps that will chunk you significantly before the fight even starts; if you do invade, the optimal window is after he has committed to a gank on the opposite side of the map, targeting his unprotected buff camp, but you must have vision of him first or you risk walking into boxes.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not tunnel onto his clone during a fight — wasting your Q or W on the clone while the real Shaco repositions will leave you with no gap-closer and no Frost proc, effectively losing you the trade entirely; always watch for the clone's behavior (it attacks recklessly and doesn't use abilities) before committing your full combo.
