Who Wins
- You lose early trades due to Azir's superior range and poke potential, but gain kill pressure post-6 when your R allows you to bypass his soldiers and get into close range.
- Your level 3 power spike with full combo access helps narrow the gap, but Azir still maintains range advantage until you complete your first item.
How to Trade
- Look for short trades using E-Q when Azir mispositions or wastes Q, then immediately back off to avoid extended soldier auto-attacks.
- Your best all-in window is post-6 with R-E-W-Q combo when he's pushed up, as you can bypass his range advantage and burst him before he can kite back.
Wave Control
- Push early waves to prevent Azir from freely poking you while farming, then look to freeze near your tower once he has soldiers established.
- After level 6, maintain slow pushes to build minion advantages for potential R flanks or roam timings.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to trade in extended fights early game where Azir can kite you with soldiers and superior range.
- Avoid using R predictably when Azir has his E available, as he can dash away and leave you overextended in a bad position.
