Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win most trades with Q poke and can zone him from CS, but be careful of level 1-2 all-ins where his Q-W-E combo can be lethal.
- Post-6 you still win short trades and poke wars, but lose extended fights if he gets on top of you with R active and you can't kite properly.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is Q him when he goes for CS, then W away when he tries to engage, repeating this poke pattern while managing your heat.
- When he commits with Q, immediately W for the shield and movement speed, then turn to fight only if you're in danger zone or he's low.
Wave Control
- Push waves early to establish lane priority and poke him under tower, but be mindful of jungle ganks as you'll be naturally pushed up.
- Use your wave clear advantage to roam for skirmishes or back at favorable timings while he's stuck farming under tower.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't let yourself overheat at bad times when Jax can engage on you, as you'll be unable to use abilities for 6 seconds and become a sitting duck.
- Never face-tank his trades when his E is active, as the dodge and stun will make you lose every extended fight regardless of your heat level.
