Who Wins

  • You win pre-6 trades if you can gap close successfully, as Zyra has no mobility and dies quickly to your full combo.
  • Post-6 becomes much harder since her R creates a massive zone that can interrupt your engage and deal significant damage even if you reach her.

How to Trade

  • Look for short Q3-W-AA trades when her abilities are on cooldown, then immediately E away from her plant retaliation.
  • Extended trades favor you heavily if you can avoid her E root, but you must commit fully since her plants will chunk you during retreat.

Wave Control

  • Push early levels to deny her farm and roam potential, as she scales better into teamfights than you do.
  • After 6, maintain slow pushes to avoid being trapped in her R zone near your own minions, and look for flanking opportunities rather than straight engages.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't engage when her E is available and you don't have flash, as getting rooted means eating her full combo plus plant damage.
