Who Wins

  • You win pre-6 through superior mobility and burst potential, especially at level 2-3 when you can combo Q-W-AA-Q for strong trades.
  • Post-6 you maintain the advantage as your R provides execute damage and animation canceling that Vi cannot match in extended duels.

How to Trade

  • Use Q to gap close, immediately W for the stun, weave auto attacks between abilities, then use remaining Q charges to either extend the trade or disengage.
  • Never commit all Q charges at once as Vi can easily punish you with Q-E combo when your mobility is down.

Wave Control

  • Push early levels to establish priority and deny Vi's weak early game, but transition to freezing once you have item advantage.
  • Vi struggles to break freezes safely due to her limited poke and telegraphed engage patterns.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't waste your E shield on Vi's passive proc damage or minor poke - save it for her Q-E-R combo burst.
  • Getting caught without E shield during her all-in window will result in losing trades you should otherwise win.
