Who Wins

  • You win pre-6 through levels 1-3 if you can gap close successfully, as Vex lacks escape tools and your combo damage exceeds her poke.
  • Post-6 becomes significantly harder as her R gives her both engage potential and escape options while your all-in becomes more predictable.

How to Trade

  • Your optimal trading pattern involves using E to absorb her Q poke, then immediately following with Q-W-Q combo before she can create distance.
  • You must animation cancel properly and use your third Q to either extend the trade or disengage based on minion positioning.

Wave Control

  • Push early levels to hit your power spikes first, but transition to freezing once Vex gets items since she can clear waves safely from range.
  • Avoid slow pushing mid-game as it gives her free poke opportunities and sets up ganks against your immobile position.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Never engage without your E available as her fear from passive will leave you completely exposed to follow-up damage or ganks.
  • Don't waste your mobility spells trying to dodge her Q poke - save them for actual all-in attempts when you can secure meaningful damage.
