Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win this matchup decisively: your E-W-Q-E combo deals more burst damage than Wukong can answer, and your W stun prevents him from using his W to escape once you've committed.
  • At level 3 you have your full short-trade pattern available while he is still assembling his combo, so look to force trades aggressively before he gets items that scale his damage.

How to Trade

  • Post-6, the matchup becomes more dangerous: his R knocks you up and deals significant damage, and if he activates it while you are mid-combo you lose a lot of your damage window.
  • You still win extended fights if you land W during his R animation or immediately after, but you must respect his all-in potential and avoid fighting him with your W on cooldown.

Wave Control

  • Your optimal pattern is E in, W stun, Q heal, E out — the double-dash lets you disengage before he can retaliate with his own combo, and the W stun denies his W clone escape.
  • Avoid long drawn-out fights where his passive armor stacking and R uptime reduce your damage advantage; short trades where you deal burst and exit are consistently in your favor.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use both E charges to engage and then have no escape when his R comes out — burning your second E to chase or reposition leaves you unable to disengage from his knock-up, which is when he wins the fight.
  • Always keep your second E as an exit option unless his R is confirmed on cooldown.
