- Pre-6, you win most trades decisively if you land E-W-Q-E2 with fury stacked, as Sylas has no reliable way to disengage your dash combo and his W heal is not fast enough to offset your burst damage in short trades; post-6, the matchup becomes significantly more dangerous because Sylas can steal your R, which gives him a massive empowered W heal and a stun, effectively turning your win condition into his.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to stack fury off the wave, then engage with E through Sylas, immediately W-stun him, Q to heal, and E2 out before his W can fully resolve — short, decisive trades where he cannot complete his full rotation are where you win.
Wave Control
- You want to push the wave consistently to deny Sylas the passive regeneration he gets from farming safely under tower, and shoving also forces him to use abilities on wave rather than on you, depleting his mana and reducing his all-in threat; avoid letting the wave freeze near your tower, as that gives Sylas a safe environment to scale.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not let Sylas get a free E chain onto you from range and then walk away — if you do not immediately punish his E landing with your own combo, you allow him to dictate trade tempo and he will repeatedly poke you down to a point where his W heal outvalues your all-in; never ignore his E cooldown when deciding to engage.
