LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win most extended trades at level 3 once you have Q, W, and E — your W stun into empowered Q burst is a reliable kill threat that Olaf cannot match in a short window, but if you let him run you down with W active and land repeated auto-attacks, his sustain from lifesteal will negate your burst advantage.
- Post-6, your R gives you a significant health buffer and empowered damage, but Olaf's R removes all CC, meaning your W stun becomes largely irrelevant in all-ins after level 6, which shifts the extended fight heavily in his favor.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to use E to dash in, immediately W stun, land empowered Q, then E out before Olaf can activate W and sustain back — short trades heavily favor you because Olaf's power comes from sustained fighting.
- Never commit to a full all-in without your R active, and even then, end the fight quickly rather than letting it drag out, because his passive attack speed and W lifesteal will outscale your damage over time.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently with Q to maintain priority and deny Olaf the ability to freely walk up and throw axes — if you let the wave sit in the middle or near your tower, Olaf can freely poke with his Q at range and sustain off minions.
- Shoving also lets you roam or reset to deny him the slow-push setup he wants, where he can stack a large wave and dive you under tower.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not fight Olaf when he has W active and low health — his W gives him massive attack speed and lifesteal, meaning the lower his health drops, the more dangerous he becomes in a sustained fight, which is the opposite of your power curve.
- Avoid the mistake of thinking your W stun wins every fight post-6; once he presses R, you lose your primary kill tool and must rely purely on raw damage, which he can outlast with sustain.
