Who Wins
- You win pre-6 convincingly through superior sustain and burst trades, especially at level 2 when you get W for guaranteed stun combos.
- Post-6 you still have the edge in all-ins since your R gives immediate combat stats while Gnar's transformation is situational and telegraphed.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading is E-W-Q-E out when Gnar is in mini form, using fury-empowered W for maximum burst and sustain denial.
- Against Mega Gnar, wait for his abilities to be on cooldown before committing to extended trades since his W and R can turn fights.
Wave Control
- You want to maintain a slow push or freeze near your side to create long lanes for all-ins when Gnar transforms.
- Avoid hard shoving unless you can crash and reset, as Gnar can poke you down and kite effectively when the wave is in the middle of the lane.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste your E gap closers chasing mini Gnar when he has E available, as you'll take free poke and lose the trade.
- Also avoid fighting in Mega Gnar form when he's near walls or has full combo available, as his CC chain can be lethal.
