Who Wins
- You win pre-6 trades through superior range and mobility, but Malzahar's Q poke and E damage over time can chunk you significantly if you're not careful.
- Post-6 becomes much more dangerous as his R completely negates your mobility advantage and sets up easy ganks.
How to Trade
- Use auto-Q-auto combos when his E is on cooldown, then immediately E away to avoid his Q follow-up.
- Never commit to extended trades when his voidlings are up as they provide significant DPS and can block your Q.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to establish range advantage, then maintain a slow push or freeze near your tower once he gets his waveclear online.
- Avoid hard shoving post-6 as you become extremely vulnerable to ganks with his R lockdown.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use E aggressively when his R is available as you'll be instantly punished with a full combo.
