Who Wins
- You lose most pre-6 trades due to Galio's Q poke and passive shield absorption, but can punish his mana usage with short E-Q combos when his Q is down.
- Post-6 you have kill pressure with your full combo if you can dodge his W, as your burst outpaces his tankiness early.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is E-Q (grass/rock) for quick poke when Galio uses Q on minions, then immediately back off to avoid his W-E combo.
- Never commit to extended trades pre-6 as his passive shield and Q sustain will out-trade your damage over time.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to get priority and roam, as Galio will match your roams but you have better skirmish damage in river fights.
- After 6, look to freeze near your tower to set up all-ins when he steps up, since he can't effectively trade in a long lane.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't use your E aggressively without vision of enemy jungler, as Galio's W-E setup makes ganks extremely deadly for you.
- Never try to match his waveclear with your Q spam as you'll go oom while he sustains with corrupting potion and Q healing.
