Who Wins

  • You win most trades pre-6 with your Q poke and W to deny his engage, but you lose the 1v1 post-6 once he gets R.
  • His scaling with items and levels eventually makes him too tanky and damaging for you to handle.

How to Trade

  • You want to poke with Q when he goes for CS and use W preemptively when you see him positioning to Q onto you.
  • When he does engage, E him into a wall if possible for the stun, then Q-auto and disengage.

Wave Control

  • You should maintain wave control through Q poke and look to freeze near your tower where walls give you E stun opportunities.
  • Avoid hard pushing unless you can recall safely, as Jax can run you down in long lanes.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't waste your W reactively after he's already jumped on you - use it preemptively when you see him walking up.
  • Avoid fighting in open areas of the lane where you can't utilize wall stuns from your E.
