Who Wins

  • You win pre-6 through superior base stats and Q poke, but Veigar can match your waveclear with Q farming.
  • Post-6 becomes much more dangerous as Veigar's E can set up guaranteed R combos that you cannot reliably dodge.

How to Trade

  • Your optimal trading is Q poke followed by immediate retreat to avoid his Q return damage and potential E setup.
  • Extended trades with W-E are only viable when his E is on cooldown or you can guarantee the kill.

Wave Control

  • Push early waves with Q to establish priority, then look for roam timings before he scales.
  • Avoid slow pushing into him as it gives him free Q stacks and sets up ganks with his E.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Never engage with W when his E is available as he can trap you mid-dash for guaranteed burst.
  • Don't underestimate his early Q damage - repeated trades without proper spacing will put you in kill range.
