LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win short trades by auto-attacking around your Q and W placement, as Veigar has no reliable way to punish you if you respect his E range and stay mobile; post-6, the matchup becomes significantly more dangerous because his R can one-shot you if he lands E first, so you lose the all-in potential you had earlier.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to place your ball on him with Q, auto-attack, then W for the shield and damage burst before immediately repositioning out of his E cage range; never stand still long enough for him to set up E into R, as that combo will delete you regardless of your lead.
Wave Control
- You want to push the wave consistently using Q on minions to maintain ball pressure near him, which forces him to either take poke or back off CS; a pushed wave also reduces the time you spend in lane exposed to his stacking and limits his ability to freely farm and scale.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand in predictable positions near walls or in narrow lane sections, as his E is much easier to land when your movement is restricted; even a small positional mistake that lets him land E into R ends the lane entirely, so constant lateral movement is mandatory.
