Who Wins
- You lose pre-6 in pure poke trades due to shorter range, but your E root can set up favorable all-ins if you land it.
- Post-6 your R gives strong engage potential, but Seraphine's R can counter-engage and Miss Fortune's R punishes your positioning.
Synergy & Trading
- Look for E roots through minions to enable Smolder's follow-up damage, then use W clone to confuse enemies during trades.
- Your Q can waveclear to help Smolder farm safely, but save E for key moments rather than poking.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Roam when the wave is pushing toward you and Smolder can farm safely under tower, typically after level 6 when your R provides strong gank setup.
- Look for mid lane roams when your R is available and enemies are pushed up.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't use R without proper vision or setup, as Seraphine can easily interrupt with her own R or the enemies can simply walk away.
- Avoid wasting E on minions when enemies can punish Smolder, as it's your primary engage and disengage tool.
