Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the 2v2 if you land your hook on Tristana before Nami can bubble you, as your chain CC into auto-passive stun into W and E creates a kill window that Nami's heal alone cannot sustain through.
  • Post-6, the matchup heavily favors your side — Yunara's R combined with your hook means Tristana has no escape once her W is burned, and Nami's bubble becomes less impactful when Yunara can dash through it with her R-upgraded E.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your primary job is to hook Tristana, not Nami — Tristana is the damage threat and hooking her into Yunara's R burst is the kill pattern; hooking Nami wastes your CC chain on the less threatening target.
  • After hooking, immediately follow up with W and E to maximize your passive stun procs and keep Tristana locked in Yunara's splash damage range.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should roam post-6 when the wave is pushed into the enemy tower and Yunara has enough items to hold the lane safely; your hook and CC chain are extremely high-value for mid lane assassins or juggernauts who can follow up instantly.
  • Avoid roaming when Tristana has her W available and Yunara is low, as Tristana can dive or hard-shove the wave to punish your absence.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not waste your hook on a Nami bubble bait — Nami will frequently position to bait your hook so Tristana can freely poke Yunara without CC threat.
  • Patience with your hook is critical; a missed hook in this lane means you have no engage for several seconds while Tristana and Nami freely punish Yunara's immobility.
