How to Trade

  • You should only take short trades with W-Q when Garen uses abilities on minions, then immediately back off.
  • Your trading revolves around withering his engage potential and landing empowered Qs when safe.

Wave Control

  • You want the wave to push toward you so you can stack Q safely near your tower.
  • Avoid pushing the wave as it exposes you to Garen's all-ins and jungle ganks.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • You cannot afford to take extended trades early game or fight in Garen's minion waves.
  • Missing too many Q stacks early will cripple your mid-game scaling potential.
