Who Wins
- Darius wins pre-6 through superior base stats, Q healing, and ability to force extended trades with E pull and W slow.
- Post-6 you can start winning 1v1s if you have significant Q stacks (200+) and proper itemization, as your R gives you the survivability to outlast his burst.
How to Trade
- Focus on short trades using Q on minions while backing away immediately to avoid his Q outer ring.
- When he wastes abilities on minions or misses E, you can look for quick Q-auto trades but must disengage before he can retaliate with full combo.
Wave Control
- Freeze the wave near your tower early to safely stack Q while forcing Darius to overextend for farm.
- Only push when you have teleport advantage or when Darius recalls, as being pushed up makes you extremely vulnerable to his all-in potential.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never try to trade when your Q is on cooldown, as you lose all kill pressure and sustain without it.
- Avoid fighting in large minion waves where his Q will hit multiple targets for maximum healing, giving him a massive advantage in extended trades.
