Who Wins
- You lose levels 1-3 convincingly as Aatrox has superior base damage and mobility to punish your weak early game.
- You win at level 6 if you've managed your health well, as your ultimate gives you the sustain and damage reduction to survive his combo while dealing significant damage back.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to wait for Aatrox to waste his Q combo on minions, then run him down with Wither and auto-Q-auto when his abilities are on cooldown.
- Never try to trade when his Q abilities are available as you'll take massive damage without being able to retaliate effectively.
Wave Control
- Focus on freezing the wave near your tower to farm safely and force Aatrox to overextend for trades or CS.
- Only push when you have a significant item advantage or when Aatrox recalls, as being pushed up makes you extremely vulnerable to his all-in potential.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never try to contest early CS against his Q poke or you'll be forced out of lane before you can scale.
- Don't use Wither aggressively for trades early game as the mana cost is too high and you need it available to escape his all-ins.
