Who Wins

  • You win pre-6 trades through superior range and sustain, but lose all-ins if Zilean lands double bombs.
  • Post-6 you still win poke trades but must respect Zilean's R making dives impossible.

Synergy & Trading

  • Poke with W bounces when Aphelios steps up for CS, then immediately back off before Zilean can follow up.
  • Use E on Ashe when she commits to extended trades with her Q active.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should roam mid when your wave is pushing and Aphelios is low on chakrams or has Calibrum.
  • Time roams around 8-12 minutes when mid lane fights are frequent.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't use Q aggressively without vision of Zilean's position, as his E speed boost makes dodging easy.
  • Never stay in range for Zilean's double bomb combo after using your Q.
