Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and poke potential, as Zaahen lacks gap closers early and must walk up to farm.
- Post-6 becomes more dangerous as his R gives him engage potential and his passive stacks make extended trades heavily favor him.
How to Trade
- Use Q poke to whittle him down while staying outside his melee range, then look for short W-E-Q combos when he's low enough to burst.
- Avoid extended trades once he has Determination stacks built up, as his sustained damage will quickly outscale yours.
Wave Control
- Push early waves to deny him farm and stack opportunities, then look to roam or recall before he can build meaningful Determination stacks.
- Keep waves in positions where you can escape his W pull range, as getting pulled into melee range with stacks means losing the trade.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't commit to all-ins when he has high Determination stacks, as his doubled AD bonus and revive passive make him nearly impossible to kill in extended fights.
- Avoid fighting in tight spaces where his W pull becomes unavoidable and he can force the melee engagement he wants.
