Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and poke with W, as Yasuo cannot effectively engage without minions to dash through.
- Post-6 you still have the advantage since your R can lock him down even through his windwall, though he gains kill pressure if he lands a good tornado.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is W the wave to push and poke simultaneously, then look for Q when he steps up to farm or goes for aggressive dashes.
- Always auto-attack after landing Q since he cannot windwall basic attacks, and use E preemptively when you see him charging tornado.
Wave Control
- You want to hard push waves with W to deny him minions for mobility while poking him simultaneously.
- Keep the wave in the center or slightly pushed so he cannot freeze, as a frozen wave gives him too many dash opportunities to engage on you.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never waste your Q when his windwall is available, as this removes your primary self-peel tool for 10+ seconds.
- Avoid standing directly behind your minion wave where he can dash through them to gap close, instead position slightly to the side.
