Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win the poke war because your W sustains Samira and your Q threatens Leona's engage path — however, Leona's level 2 spike is real and if she lands E+Q before you react with E, Samira will take heavy damage.
- Post-6, your R is a direct counter to Leona's R because it can knock Samira airborne out of Leona's stun radius, but you must not use R reactively — use it proactively when Leona commits.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to keep your E ready for Leona's engage, use W on the wave to sustain Samira's health, and look for Q on Leona when she steps up — a rooted Leona with no flash is a free kill setup for Samira's full combo.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should roam when the wave is pushed into their tower and Leona has used her engage cooldowns — your Q is a strong roam tool and mid lane is particularly vulnerable to it, but do not roam if Leona has her E up because she will immediately engage on Samira alone.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E reactively after Leona has already landed her E+Q — your E does not remove existing CC, it only prevents new CC, so saving it for the moment Leona's E is in the air (not after it lands) is the critical timing you must master.
