Who Wins
- You lose early poke trades due to Aatrox's superior range and sustain advantage through minion healing.
- Post-6 you become the dominant duelist as your R removes his minion sustain and your sustained damage output with passive and conqueror outscales his burst.
How to Trade
- You want to use E to pull him into your Q range, then activate W for the shield and healing while staying close for passive procs.
- Focus on extended trades where your sustained damage and shield advantage overcome his burst pattern.
Wave Control
- You should look to freeze the wave on your side to deny Aatrox minion sustain and create longer lanes for all-ins.
- Post-6, you can use R to force fights even when the wave is in a bad position since you remove his healing advantage.
Mistakes to Avoid
- You cannot let Aatrox freely poke with Q sweetspots without responding, as his sustain will keep him healthy while you take free damage.
- Don't waste your E on minions or miss it entirely, as it's your primary tool to close the gap and force favorable trades.
