- Post-6 your R provides strong counter-engage but Tristana's burst with R can still delete your ADC quickly.
Synergy & Trading
- Use Q to poke and slow enemies for Varus follow-up, then E to enhance his trading and W to sustain afterward.
- Save your R for when Blitzcrank engages or when enemies dive your Varus in team fights.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Roam when your ADC has wave control and enemies are low on mana, typically after successful poke trades.
- Best roam timings are when Tristana recalls or when you have vision of enemy jungle movements.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't use W reactively after trades are already over, as the heal is most effective during active combat.
- Never position where Blitzcrank can Q you through minions, as your death means Varus has no protection.
