Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Miss Fortune win this lane — your E shield absorbs Soraka's Q poke, your W sustain outpaces Soraka's healing in extended trades, and your Q knockback can interrupt Soraka's root setup.
  • Post-6, Xayah's R and Soraka's global R make all-ins riskier, but you still have the edge if you force fights before cooldowns reset.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to pre-shield Miss Fortune with E before she walks up to use her passive, then use Q to knock back Soraka if she tries to root Miss Fortune mid-trade — this lets Miss Fortune complete her full passive auto cycle without being interrupted.
  • Use W on Miss Fortune during the trade to sustain her through Xayah's feather damage rather than saving it reactively.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should generally not roam — Soraka's global R means your mid laner gets healed regardless of your presence, and leaving Miss Fortune alone against Xayah's feather control is dangerous.
  • If you do roam, the only valid timing is after a successful level 2 all-in that forces both enemies to back, giving you a clear window before the wave resets.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use R reactively to cleanse Xayah's E root after it has already landed — use it proactively when you see Xayah positioning to E, or save it for Miss Fortune's R setup to cleanse any CC that would interrupt the channel.
  • Wasting R on a single root when no follow-up damage is coming is the most common way to throw your win condition in this matchup.
