Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and Q poke, as Sion cannot effectively engage without telegraphing his Q charge.
- Post-6 you maintain the advantage since your R provides global pressure while Sion's R is primarily for engage, and you can still kite him effectively with W movement speed.
How to Trade
- Poke with Q from maximum range while weaving in passive-empowered autos when safe, then use W to block his Q knockup or E slow when he tries to retaliate.
- Always position to use your W reactively rather than proactively, as the reflection timing is crucial against his telegraphed abilities.
Wave Control
- Push waves with Q to maintain range advantage and prevent Sion from building up minion pressure for all-ins.
- Keep the wave in the center or slightly pushed to give yourself room to kite backwards while still being able to poke effectively.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste W preemptively or use it for movement speed alone, as Sion's Q and E are his primary threat tools that you need to reflect.
- Avoid staying in auto attack range after using abilities, as Sion can punish with his passive shield and W detonation damage.
