Who Wins
- Mel wins every stage of the lane as long as W is available, as you can reflect Ahri’s charm and punish with Q + auto combos.
- Even if Ahri has ult, Ahri R doesn’t give her a guaranteed win, since if Mel is careful with W usage, this keeps Ahri pressured and vulnerable to full combos.
How to Trade
- Trade with Q when Ahri is stationary on minions, following up with autos, and save W to reflect Ahri's charm (most important) or her other abilities.
- Whenever Mel's W is up, all trades favor Mel because she can reflect charm, combo Q + auto + E, and secure R executes safely without overextending.
Wave Control
- Keep the wave near your tower to punish Ahri when she last-hits and force her to overextend.
- Slow push when she is low, maintaining mid priority to zone her and capitalize on prio for jungle assistance or combo setups.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never waste W on Ahri's minor abilities; mainly use it against charm to maximize trades and survival.
- Avoid overextending or being forced into trades forcing your W to become unavailable, as crowd control or coordinated enemy pressure is the only scenario where Ahri can then have a win condition.
