Pre-6, you and Tristana are losing this lane — Caitlyn outranges your Q poke, and Thresh's hook punishes any forward positioning you need to stack Overwhelm.
Post-6, your R's execute scaling becomes a real threat if you've built stacks, but Caitlyn's net-trap and Thresh's all-in still make this a difficult lane to flip without a significant stack advantage.

Your best trading pattern is to use E to root one of them, immediately follow with Q for AoE poke and Overwhelm stacking, then let Tristana engage on the rooted target — your W should be saved to reflect Caitlyn's Q or Thresh's hook if they try to punish your forward positioning.
Never use W preemptively; its value is entirely reactive against their projectile-heavy kit.

Play to poke with Q from max range to build Overwhelm stacks on both enemies passively, and use E to zone them off the wave rather than always rooting for kills — this forces Caitlyn to either take poke or lose CS, which is your primary win condition before you have enough stacks for R to be threatening.
