Who Wins
- You lose level 2 skirmishes as your Q knockback is less reliable than Alistar's W-Q combo for peeling Irelia.
- At level 6, you win extended fights with R root setup, but only if you can land it before Alistar disrupts your engage.
Synergy & Trading
- Use W to engage when Alistar is out of position, then immediately Q to knock back Jhin if he steps forward.
- Your E in bushes provides excellent zoning, forcing them to path predictably for easier W-Q combos from your ADC.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Roam after pushing waves when Jhin is low on mana or has poor wave clear.
- Optimal timings are after level 6 when your R provides strong gank setup, or when the enemy duo recalls and you can't crash the wave.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste W on Alistar when his W-Q is available, as he'll immediately counter-engage on your ADC.
- Avoid face-checking bushes against Jhin's traps, as getting chunked early makes your engages much weaker.
